Brister Shelter Shed Replica
A dedication ceremony with the Brister family descendants was held on July 20th 2024 to "re-dedicate" the replica shelter shed with the "Brister" sign.
The shelter shed located at the Thorla-Mckee Well Park in Caldwell, OH is a replica of the original Brister shelter shed that was on the OR&W. Like Caboose 33 also at the park, the Shelter Shed is owned by the Noble County Historical Society. The Friends of the OR&W donated our time and the supplies to paint the shelter shed to the original colors as the Pennsylvania Railroad would have, Ochre and Chocolate Brown.
Projects like this made possible by donations and club dues, consider joining if not already a member to help the Friends of the OR&W preserve and tell the story of the OR&W!
