March 9th, 2024 Combine 29 Visit and Land Ownder Meet

Friends of the OR&W Members, Bill Logan and Bo DeCoy, met the land ownder, Randy N., at the car on a drizzly Saturday to meet and discuss our preservation efforts. While there, they re-discover a missing piece to the combine.

The door to the complete end of the car has been located, not more then 30 yards from the car hidden in plain sight amongst misc building materials. Randy was able to add more pieces of the puzzle to the history of the car after railroad days.

Randy's father moved his family to the property in the mid 80's where Combine 29 was already being used as a rental.

The missing door as re-discoverd. Looking this good after being exposed to the weather all these years, shows how well built it is.

It fits! The missing upper door hinge is on the car still, indicating that we have our missing door.
